Ol' Santy Clause

This past Saturday was a VERY eventful day for our Allie Kate.  Her first surprise came rumbling down the road that morning...
She peeked out the door and said "[gasp] It's SANTY CLAUSE!"  She was so excited that he came to visit her, especially with Egon and Gigi.  She bounded out the door with daddy to see him while I gathered the camera to document the occasion.  (I just love this old BMW motorcycle with the side car my dad has restored.  It rarely goes unnoticed!)
In our haste, I forgot to put shoes on her so when her feet got cold, Egon took care of it...

Allie's second adventure came when she got to go to her friend Gracie's 5th birthday party.  We practiced singing Happy Birthday to Gracie all morning.  The party was a princess theme so Allie dressed up as her favorite fairy princess Tinkerbell...
She got to dance with her friends...
She got to put on make up and get her nails painted...
And she made the most adorable princess crown!
It was such a fun time with good friends!  Happy Birthday Gracie!!!

Life's Little Lessons

Since becoming a mother, I have learned so many valuable lessons.  For instance, Sharpie will never come off clothes, no matter how many times your spray it and soak it, and don't put your child down for a nap at 5pm, they will wake up and never go back to sleep.  Allison is a fun-loving two-year-old now and I love to love her!  We had such a busy summer this year.  We took several vacations and had tons of fun!  Here are some pictures over the last few months...

I can't believe it's been so long since I blogged on here. I guess Facebook is so much easier! Regardless, here are some pictures from last 6 months.

Happy Thanksgiving

This year for Thanksgiving, we traveled to Fayetteville to my Aunt Imelda's beautiful home. Although the weather was a bit chilly, we still had fun. Lunch was prepared by my aunts and friends, and it was absolutely delicious. This was Allison's first Thanksgiving meal (last year was milk). She ate turkey and stuffing and seemed to really enjoy it. Her attention didn't last long, as there was a very noisy table of boys in the other room. She would walk over to peek inside, and then run away giggling. It was so cute. After lunch we sat outside and let her run around. We observed a game of touch football, Whiners vs Tattletales. Throwing the stick for Tripp was an endless game which Allison enjoyed. After lunch at the McClinton's, we drove over to West Fork to the McCue's house for Thanksgiving supper. Ashlee did such a beautiful job of arranging and setting the tables. It looked like a picture from the magazine. The food was absolutely delicious. Fried turkey and all of the fixings. We played games and really had a wonderful time. Allison kept taking Lilli's baby doll, which did not go over well with Lilli. Allison couldn't get enough attention from everyone. She was really cute, as were all of the children who ran around screaming and laughing and playing. Good times!

Halloween

This year Allison was going to be a bunny rabbit for halloween. I received a really cute bunny costume from my sister-in-law. With halloween only a couple of days away, I decided to try the costume on her just to be sure it fit correctly. It didn't. With only one day left before halloween, I rushed to the store to see what was left. I was so glad I did because I found the most adorable pink monster costume, in her size, for only six bucks! Take a look...
